Hi Ashley! In your plant-based delicious book that calls for cashew and cannellini bean for the ricotto, is there a substituion for cashews? would it be 1:1 with sunflower seeds? Thanks a bunch!
I assume that the lasagna I just made turned out well. But I had placed the baking tray with aluminum foil too high in the oven. 🤦🏽♀️There were burnt out pieces in the foil. I then skimmed off the top layer of the tomato sauce. Is there a substitute for aluminum/tin foil?
Hey Laura, burning is a bummer! Can you place it lower in the oven? Or do you have a casserole dish with it's own cover? The other option is to only cover it for half of the cooking time. You can remove the tinfoil after 25 minutes and then let it bake uncovered for the rest of the time. This will likely avoid burning. You might have a dryer top layer but this should be fine!

Hello! Yes you can for sure use sunflower seeds, just be sure to soak them! You can also use Brazil nuts or macadamia nuts or a combination :)

Made this lasagna last night. It was wonderful!
You're the best Julie! Thx for the feedback! xo
Hi, thanks for your advice. I’ll place the casserole dish lower in the oven (in the middle).
