Five years ago, when I began recipe testing for my first cookbook, I had more ideas than I could include in the final manuscript. The recipe I’m sharing today was one of over a dozen that ended up being cut because I far exceeded the word count! I had completely forgotten about this cherished recipe until a few weeks ago when I stumbled upon it while searching an old hard drive for work I’d done for a previous client.
It felt like running into an old friend. I made it for dinner, and despite it being enough for 3 to 4 people, Bernard and I devoured the entire thing—there wasn’t a single noodle left!
This dish is vibrant, nutritious, and truly one of a kind. The sauce perfectly balances savory umami miso, creamy tahini, and a bright touch of fresh orange juice.
